Total Hours: 24 hours
Requirements:
Real Estate Brokers, Broker Associates, Property Managers and Real Estate Auctioneers renewing an active license must complete at least 24 hours of continuing education during the preceding two license years. At least 12 of these hours must be in Required subject areas.

Does South Dakota Have Reciprocity With Any Other State?
Yes Nonresident brokers and salespersons who hold a South Dakota license are exempt from the continuing education requirements if the licensee meets the education requirements in the state of residence.
Who Submits Completed Continued Education?
It is the responsibility of the course provider, not the licensee, to report completion of continuing education to the SDREC office. Licensees will receive a certificate of completion from Real Estate Training Institute.
